Malin Lidén
I strive to create a strong physical presence in my ceramic works where traces of my body are often visible. In this intimate dialogue that arises between me and the clay, I allow the clay’s own agents to take center stage, making each work unique with surprising forms and expressions.
Through site-specific investigations using the body, movement and senses as guides, I allow mythological stories to emerge in the form of words, ceramic objects and performance.

Presentation
I am brought up in Kungsbacka, a small city close to the sea, on the west coast of Sweden. Creativity has alway followed me in life through dance, storywriting and painting. Later in life I found clay as material and it is now the core of my works.
